Beckman Airfuge Centrifuge

The centrifuge of the brand Beckman type Airfuge generates centrifugal forces to pellet sub cellular components (such as proteins and viruses) and to isolate microsomal fractions and plasma membranes. In addition, this centrifuge can be used to clarify small volumes of lipemic serum by flotation of the chylomicrons (fat particles in lipogenic sample). This centrifuge is ideal for receptor binding studies, lipoprotein assays, chylomicron studies, sample preparation for electron microscopy and for determining the clearance of lipemic samples.
