Bio-Rad iCycler with MyiQ Optical Module

Real-time PCR unit from Bio-Rad, type iCycler with MyiQ Optical Module.
This unit is used to perform real-time PCR analysis.
PCR, or Polymerase Chain Reaction, is for the multiplying of very small quantities of DNA with the purpose of getting enough DNA to analyse it.
The iCycler works by means of Peltier heating and cooling in order to change temperature precisely and quickly.
The MyiQ Optical module monitors every well of the 96-well plate simultaneously, this way the wells can be reliably compared and because everything is done in real-time the reactions can be closely monitored.
