The Bio-Rad 3550-UV microplate reader is a vertical pathlength photometer capable of measuring the absorbances of the contents of 96 well microtitration plates. Single or dual wavelenght measurements can be maand absorbance values are measured to three decimal places. The absorbance range is 340-750 nm and is linear to 3.0 O.D. The instrument may be operated in a stand-alone mode, with a direct printer connection or by remote operation via a computer running the Microplate Manager software.
