The destruction microwave from CEM, type MDS-2000, is designed for laboratory use in digesting, dissolving, hydrolyzing, or drying a wirange of materials. The microwave is suited for is the rapid preparation of samples for analysis by atomic absorption (AA) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) emission spectroscopy and gas or liquid chromatography.
This process takes place by putting organic material in a cup with acid, then it is heated under pressure. This has the result that the organic material breaks down into elements.
