This Gilson, type 402, syringe pump is equipped with a single (5ml) syringe and valve.
The front panel of the instrument contains a syringe pump assembly with a three-port, two-position valve on the left side, a blanking plate, a syringe and a T-connection module.
The rear panel of the unit contains the microswitches, the GSIOC connector and the sector block (socket outlet with ON/OFF switch and voltage selector switch/fuse holder).
The main module (single syringe) is a liquid transfer station designed to optimize sample transfer and sample injection applications.
It can be used to dispense up to 25 ml in one stroke, and up to 1 l (typical value) with high accuracy. It consists of two motors, one that operates the syringe plunger to aspirate and dispense, and a second motor that controls the switching valve.
