This instrument is a battery-powered Geiger-Mueller personal dosemeter and exposure rate meter designed to be worn on the body.
The range of exposure rate covered is from 0.1 to 999 mR h/sup -1/, with a choice of alarm levels at 0.5, 2.5, 10, 100 and 250 mR h/sup -1/. The range of dose covered is from 0.1 to 999.9 mrad to air in free air.
The instrument is pocket sized and designed to be worn in the top pocket of a coat or overall. A clip is provided for this purpose. Accumulated exposure is reset to zero by removing one of the batteries. The instrument is designed to measure gamma, X-ray (both above 40 keV) and hard beta radiation.
