The hemoximeter of Radiometer Copenhagen type OSM3 is a blood gas analyzer. This device has a computerized system which measures absorbances at six wavelengths and from these calculations the following parameter:
•tHB = total Hemogolbin
•HbO2SAT = oxygen Saturation
•HbO2 = oxyhemoglobin
•MetHb = methemoglobin
•O2ct = content of hemoglobin-bound oxygen
•SHb = sulfhemoglobin
•Turbidity in the sample
