This Shimadzu HPLC consists of several modules of both the 10 and 20 series, among which 2 pumps. Following are further descriptions of the modules.
CBM-20A Prominence
This CBM (communication bus module) acts as an interface for connecting instruments to LC workstations or network-client computers. This CBM offers the firs web-based browser which enables easy control and guarantees system efficiency. The CBM has been developed with a view to maximal flexibility, up to 12 LC modules and 2 channels with analogue data can be connected for data acquisition.

SPD-20A Prominence
The Shimadzu SPD-20A UV/VIS detector is routinely used in analytical chemistry for the quantitative determination of different analytes. The detectos has a mode that allows the deuterium lamp and tungsten lamp to be lit simultaneously, enabling high-sensitivity wavelength-programming detection from ultraviolet light and the entire visible-light range. Wavelength range 190 to 900nm.
CTO-20AC Prominence
The CTO-20AC column oven, using an electronic cooler, can regulate the temperature in a large range going from 10 degrees below room temperature to 85 °C. This results in increased reproducibility and separation performance.
DGU-14A
The Shimadzu DGU-14A degasser is ultra-compact and stackable in design. It provides a fast and efficient way to obtain superior degassing of up to four solvents and has 4 inline channels.
LC10-ADvp
This Shimadzu micro-plunger pump for Shimadzu VP Series HPLC system is unsurpassed for stable, pulse-free solvent delivery. It has built-in validation functions for GLP/GMP compliance. Its improved seal and plunger materials provide increased pump durability, and a standard leak sensor adds safety. Its dual reciprocating 10µL plungers enable superior detector baseline stability and minimal baseline noise, making this pump ideally suited for high sensitivity applications including refractive index, conductivity, electrochemical, and mass spectrometer detection.
