The Sotax HT1 Tablet Hardness Tester is the only tester available with the patented AutoAlignment technology to automatically align correctly the tablet for proper measurements. It measures tablet thickness, diameter or length, width and hardness.Special jaws are no longer needed for small or oblong tablets. Thickness measurements can also be reported with the test jaws by turning the tablet on its side. The use of an external caliper is also no longer needed.
The HT 1 is equipped with a 500 N load cell to meet your specific testing requirements. The measurement of tablet hardness can be switched from the “Constant Speed” or “Constant Force” principle to match your existing hardness tester. Movement of the jaw speed and force as well as the sensitivity are also adjustable.
The program menu allows the user to define and store methods for various products including pre-determined product specifications. Hardness can be measured in any of Newton, Strong Cobb or Kilo pounds. Thickness, diameter and length can be reported in inches or millimeters, tablet weights can be read in milligrams or grams.
